Design: Sleek and Portable, But with a Few Flaws
The Galaxy Book 3 Ultra features a premium aluminum build with a sleek and portable design. It's lighter than similar-sized laptops and relatively thin, making it easy to carry around. However, the glossy display suffers from wobbliness and excessive glare, which can be bothersome in certain environments.
Display Quality: Yeah it's nice it's the only nice part
The 16-inch AMOLED display Is and will remain the nicest screen on the market this year, with 120Hz refresh rate is a true highlight of the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra. Colors are vibrant and punchy, visuals are sharp and detailed, and the wide 16:10 aspect ratio provides ample space for multitasking and content creation. While a touchscreen would enhance the experience, the overall display quality is unmatched. Hey if you don't care about anything else then toss the money in the bucket.
User Experience: A Focus on Productivity and Connectivity Ok its got size too.
The Galaxy Book 3 Ultra comes loaded with features designed to enhance productivity and cater to Samsung users. The keyboard offers a comfortable typing experience, and the inclusion of a full-size number pad is a welcome addition for those who work with spreadsheets or data. The plethora of ports, including a USB-A port, ensures compatibility with various peripherals.
Ecosystem Integration: This is ironic because there is nothing eco about this insta brick
For users who are deeply invested in the Samsung ecosystem, the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra offers a seamless experience. Features like Samsung Galaxy Book SmartSwitch make transferring data from your phone or tablet effortless. The laptop also integrates seamlessly with other Galaxy devices, allowing you to share files, answer calls, and receive notifications easily. But remember it ships and opens up half brick. I mean right this very second i am only doing one task and its not even intensive.. I am writing a blog.. #2gb ddr5 ram and consuming a minium of 60% ram. I am telling you they are literaally trying to ship out half maple-bar-half-Laptops n 2023-24
Performance, sustainability and Battery Life: A Capable Powerhouse
The combination of a powerful processor, dedicated graphics card, and ample RAM ensures smooth performance for demanding tasks like video editing, gaming, and running multiple applications simultaneously. Battery life is respectable, with Samsung claiming up to 17 hours on a single charge. However, real-world usage will likely be lower, especially when performing intensive tasks.
Sustainability Concerns and Ram Limitations
While the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra boasts impressive specs and features, two major concerns regarding sustainability and user experience deserve attention.
1. Limited Upgradeability and Sustainability:
The soldered RAM, A trend that i don't support and if you care you should do the same in newer laptops, unfortunately locks users into the 16GB configuration they choose at purchase. This significantly limits upgradeability which is not sustainable and hinders the laptop's lifespan, as users cannot adapt it to future demands or software updates requiring additional RAM. This aspect conflicts with the growing importance of sustainable practices, as it ships and promotes an early device obsolescence and discourages Eco friendly sustainability or renew and is exactly renewable typically. I would say all in all steer clear unless you want a really nice tablet that folds to protect the nice screen.
